Her cover of Chaka Khan's "Ain't Nobody" was used in an advertising campaign for the U.K. After racking up millions of views of her videos of Taylor Swift and Naughty Boy covers, she began receiving regular radio airplay on the BBC as well as gaining an expanding online fan base. Thompson began sharing videos of cover songs around 2013. After her acoustic cover songs began charting, Thompson started sharing songs of her own, going on to collaborate with artists such as Selena Gomez, Marshmello, Meghan Trainor, Zedd, and others, releasing her songs in the form of EPs like 2019's Colour, and singles like her 2021 track "Already There." London-born singer-songwriter Jasmine Thompson was first noticed at the age of 13 for her YouTube videos of her covers of various songs with her uniquely smoky, eerie voice.
